Eye 2015 Report
The International Conference on Eye Disorder and Treatment (Eye-2015) hosted by OMICS Group took place at DoubleTree by Hilton Baltimore- BWI Airport, USA during July 13-15, 2015. The conference was marked with the presence of renowned scientists, talented young researchers, students and business delegates driving the three days event into the path of success with thought provoking keynote and plenary presentations highlighting the theme, “Scientific perspectives for a better vision and to pioneer innovations in ocular treatment & care”.
The conference was initiated with a warm welcome note from the Honorable guests and Keynote forum session which was sponsored by Visiometrics. The proceedings went through interactive sessions and panel discussions headed by Lyne Racette Indiana University, USA honorable Moderator for the conference.
The conference proceedings were carried out through various Scientific-sessions and plenary lectures, of which the following topics were highlighted as Keynote-presentations:
- Age related cataract: Pathogenesis and possible therapy - Dr. Manuel B Datiles, National Institutes of Health, USA
- Quality of vision, what do we need to know? - Dr. Jan Bonel, Visiometrics, Spain
- The innovations and new technologies used in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma in Bolivia - Dr. Manuel Jose Justiniano, Bolivian Society of Glaucoma, Bolivia
- Evidence-based decisions and real life applications - Dr. Albert S Khouri, Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, USA
- Advances in retinoblastoma - Dr. Arpitha Parthasarathy, US Medical Innovations, USA
Eye-2015 Conference also witnessed symposium by Dr. Arpitha Parthasarathy, US Medical Innovations, USA along with Dr. Mary Beth Aronow, Johns Hopkins University, USA about “Selective ablation of ocular cancer cells and cancer stem cells with cold atmospheric plasma and advances in prognostication for uveal melanoma respectively”.
Also, the conference proceeding was encouraged through the wonderful special session by Dr. Cesar Gomezperalt, Vision Perception, Mexico about “Quality of vision and life perception after automated lamellar keratoplasty for treating moderate to severe keratoconus: Day one to full recovery”.
A workshop session on “Ophthalmic telemedicine and glaucoma management” chaired by
Dr. Daniel Valverde, University of Guayaquil, Ecuador and presented by Dr. Albert S Khouri, Rutgers from New Jersey Medical School, USA enlightened the crowd with recent researches.
