The 3^rd International Summit on Toxicology & Applied Pharmacology took place in Chicago, USA on October 20-22, 2014. The conference was titled: “New Challenges and Innovations in Pharmacological and Toxicological Sciences” and hosted by the OMICS Group. Generous response and active participation was received from the Editorial Board Members of OMICS Group Journals, Toxicology-2014 Organizing Committee Members, as well as from scientists, researchers and leaders in Toxicology.

Students from various parts of the world took active participation in poster presentations. Students who presented well were awarded Best Poster Presentations for their outstanding contribution in the field of Toxicology.

Special session was conducted by Carter Cliff, Cellular Dynamics International, USA on the topic “Pluripotent stem cell models-Application in toxicology and beyond”, Heres-Pulido M E, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Mexico on the topic “The Somatic Mutation and Recombination Test (SMART) in Drosophila melanogaster”.

Symposium conducted by Cinzia Forni from University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy and Hemant Misra from Prolong Pharmaceuticals, USA and the title of the Symposium is “Stress response in living organisms exposed to pollutants”.

All the speakers gave their fruitful contribution in the form of highly informative presentations and made the conference a great success.

All accepted abstracts have been indexed in OMICS Group Journal of Clinical Toxicology as a special issue.
