AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. AIDS is a medical condition. A perso is diagnosed with AIDS when their immune system is too weak to fight off infections. HIV/AIDS is considered a pandemic—a disease outbreak which is present over a large area and is actively spreading. Genetic research indicates that HIV originated in west-central Africa during the late nineteenth or early twentieth century. AIDS was first recognized by the United States Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 1981 and its cause—HIV infection—was identified in the early part of the decade.
OMICS International Organizes 1000+ Global Events Every Year across USA, Europe & Asia with support from 1000 more scientific societies and Publishes 700+Open access journals which contains over 100000 eminent personalities, reputed scientists as editorial board and organizing committee members. Scope and Importance:
HIV is different in structure from other retroviruses. It is around 120 nm in diameter (about 60 times smaller than a globule red) and roughly spherical. HIV-1 is composed of two noncovalently linked copies, unspliced, positive-sense single-stranded RNA delimited by a conical capsid composed of the typical lentivirus, viral p24 protein. The RNA component is 9749 nucleotides long and carries a 5 'cap (Gppp), 3' of the poly A tail, and many open reading frames (ORFs). The viral structural proteins are encoded by the long ORFs, while small ORFs encode regulators virus life cycle: attachment, membrane fusion, replication and assembly.
Thesingle-stranded RNA binds strongly to the proteins of the nucleocapsid p7, p6 protein final assembly, and enzymes essential for the development of the virion, such as reverse transcriptase and integrase. Lysine tRNA primer is dependent reverse transcriptase of magnesium. The nucleocapsid associates with the RNA genomic (one molecule per hexamer) and protects RNA from digestion by nuclease. Also included within the virion particle are Vif, Vpr, Nef, and the viral protease. A matrix comprising of an association of the protein p17 of the viral capsid surrounding, ensuring the integrity of the virion particle. This is in turn surrounded by an envelope of origin of the host cell. The envelope is formed when the capsid buds of the host cell, taking some of the host cell membrane with it. The envelope includes the gp120 and gp41 glycoproteins.
