Bangkok is Thailand’s national capital and the largest city. Bangkok is economic and cultural center and has one of the Southeast Asia’s greatest ports and terminals. It is one of the most productive rice growing regions in Asia. It also has number of sugar mills and textile industries. Most of the trade is done through port of Bangkok. There are more than 400 Buddhist temples which are called as wats. The temple of emerald Buddha in grand palace is most famous. Bangkok is the most crowded city with temples, Industries and shops. It is the major tourist spot noted for cultural attractions.

 

The temperature in Bangkok varies from 25 °C in the winter season to 30 °C in the summer season. Due to the presence of river Chao Phraya there are many natural and artificial canals that interlace various districts of the place. Due to canals and water ways, Bangkok is called as \'Venice of the East\'. The important tourist places in Bangkok are grand palace, museums, Victoria monument and wat pho temple. There are number of universities with excellent academic standards and modern facilities some of the universities include University of Bangkok Metropolis, Chulalongkorn University, Ramkhamhaeng University, Srinakharinwirot University.
