As per available reports about 2 relevant journals, 7 Conferences, 6 workshops are presently dedicated exclusively to Cardiovascular Surgery and about 11 articles are being published on Cardiovascular Surgery.
Cardiovascular surgery is surgery on the heart or great vessels performed by cardiac surgeons. Frequently, it is done to treat complications of ischemic heart disease (for example, coronary artery bypass grafting), correct congenital heart disease, or treat valvular heart disease from various causes including endocarditis, rheumatic heart disease and atherosclerosis. It also includes heart transplantation.
OMICS International Organizes 1000+ Global Events Every Year across USA, Europe & Asia with support from 1000 more scientific societies and Publishes 700+ Open access journals which contains over 100000 eminent personalities, reputed scientists as editorial board and organizing committee members. The conference series website will provide you list and details about the conference organize worldwide. OMICS Group Journals encourages original and well researched articles for publication. Scope and Importance:
The development of cardiac surgery and cardiopulmonary bypass techniques has reduced the mortality rates of these surgeries to relatively low ranks. For instance, repairs of congenital heart defects are currently estimated to have 4–6% mortality rates. A major concern with cardiac surgery is the incidence of neurological damage. Stroke occurs in 2–3% of all people undergoing cardiac surgery, and is higher in patients at risk for stroke. A more subtle constellation of neurocognitive deficits attributed to cardiopulmonary bypass is known as post perfusion, sometimes called "pump head". The symptoms of post perfusion syndrome were initially felt to be permanent, but were shown to be transient with no permanent neurological impairment.
Open heart surgery is a surgery in which the patient's heart is open and surgery is performed on the internal structures of the heart. It was soon discovered by Dr. Wilfred G. Bigelow of the University of Toronto that the repair of intracardiac pathologies was better done with a bloodless and motionless environment, which means that the heart should be stopped and drained of blood. The first successful intracardiac correction of acongenital heart defect using hypothermia was performed by Dr. C. Walton Lillehei and Dr. F. John Lewis at the University of Minnesota on September 2, 1952. The following year, Soviet surgeon Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Vishnevskiy conducted the first cardiac surgery under local anesthesia. During this surgery, the heart is exposed and the patient's blood is made to bypass it.
National symposium and workshops provide participants with an advanced or updated review of the most novel, clinically developments in research, treatment and management of critically ill or unstable condition patients. The conference is unfastening to all doctors, clinicians, researchers, health policy makers, physicians, nurses and health professionals. Around 15 National symposiums and Workshops are going to be held across the globe which includes “14th Annual Surgery of the Foregut Symposium”, “15th Minimally Invasive Surgery Symposium (MISS)” , “23rd Annual Pennsylvania Hospital Vascular Symposium: Updates in Vascular Surgery ”, “34th The Cutting Edge Aesthetic Surgery Symposium”, “43rd Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery SCVS Annual Symposium ”, “6th Linkoping Symposium on Acute Care Surgery Swedish Trauma” and many more.
The American College of Surgeons is an educational association of surgeons created in 1913.
