On July 21-23, 2014, OMICS at Hampton Inn Tropicana, USA organized its “3rd International Conference and Exhibition on Cosmetology & Trichology”. This conference was OMICS endeavor to strengthen the future of the Cosmetologists with scientists, dermatologists, researchers, health care professionals, university professors, industrialists, trichology associations, editorial board members of OMICS journals, and students.

The Keynote speakers for the conference were: John Vincent, The John Vincent Hair Restoration Group, USA, Gabriela Mercik, Dermagenica Ltd. International Consultant of Nanopetides Academy, UK, Liz Bardelas, Bea Professional Brands, USA, D S Johnson Chang Chief President at YAyo aesthetic, Canada, Christopher J. Salgado, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, USA.

The Keynote sessions, invited lectures by honorable guests, and all the other sessions highlighted the current challenges, issues, opportunities, innovations and ideas, in Cosmetological research, that was reflected by the theme of the conference “Exploring the challenges and possibilities in cosmetology & trichology."  The theme touched upon various topics like Cosmetic Surgeries and Advanced Cosmetic Marketing, Cosmetovigilance and Adverse Effects of Cosmetic Products, Cosmetic Gynecology, Cosmetic Dentistry, Perfumery & Cosmetic Sciences, Skin Nutrition and Anti-aging Medicine, Hair Transplantation, Hair Loss Management and Advances in Trichology, Sustainable Cosmetic Product Development, Alternative Approaches to Skin & Hair Care, Major risks from Cosmetic and Personal Care Products. This gave a rewarding learning environment to all the attendees.

OMICS “Cosmetology-2014” is known for uplifting the future of Cosmetologists by encouraging students and fellow researchers to present their work through poster presentations. Students participated with great zeal and the best posters were awarded for their efforts and outstanding contribution to the cosmetic research. The best poster awardees were: Bog-Hieu Lee, Chung-Ang University, South Korea and Kouichi Nakagawa, Hirosaki University, Japan
