Fibromyalgia 2016 Past Conference Report

The International Conference on Fibromyalgia and Chronic pain (Fibromyalgia 2016) hosted by Conference Series LLC was successfully held at Philadelphia, USA during June15-16, 2016.

Active participation and generous response was received from the Organizing Committee Members, Editorial Board Members of Conference Series LLC Journals as well as from eminent scientists, talented researchers and young student community. Researchers and students who attended from different parts of the world has made the conference one of the most successful and productive events in 2016 from Conference Series LLC. The conference was marked with the presence of renowned scientists, talented young researchers, students and business delegates driving the two days event into the path of success with thought provoking keynote and plenary presentations highlighting the theme, “Recent trends, advancements and discoveries on Fibromyalgia and Chronic pain”.

The conference proceedings were carried out through various scientific-sessions and plenary lectures, of which the following topics were highlighted as Keynote-presentations:

·         “Membrane lipid replacement with glycerol phospholipids to restore mitochondrial function and reduce fatigue and pain in CFS/ME and fibromyalgia patients” given by Garth L Nicolson, USA.

·         “Nontraditional treatment in fibromyalgia” delivered by Paul C Breeding, USA.

The topic “Treatment options for fibromyalgia with psychiatric symptoms” presented by Samreen Ahmed, USA has won the Best Poster Award for his presentation at the conference.

The topic “Novel insights into the pain pathophysiology of fibromyalgia (FM)” delivered by Danneskiold-Samsøe B, Denmark has won the Best Young Researcher Award for his work in the field.
