The 2^nd International Conference on Nephrology & Therapeutics (Nephro-2013) took place at the Embassy Suites Las Vegas, USA. It was organized by OMICS Group and saw a good response from the scientific community. The conference was well received with participation from Nephro-2013 Organizing Committee Members, physicians, technologists and students from various parts of the world. The two day program witnessed thought provoking speeches from experts which focused on the theme “New Therapeutic Dimensions in Nephrology.”

Many of the participants were speakers who had attended Nephro-2012 as well and were happy to again meet their colleagues. Students from various parts of the world took active participation in oral and poster presentations.

Conference was initiated with opening remarks from Honorable Guests Dr. Mordecai Popovtzer and Dr. Anil Mandal who welcomed everyone attending the event and gave them a brief idea about what was to follow in the sessions. The conference proceedings and sessions were headed by our honorable Moderator Dr. Prabhakar Sharma, Texas Tech University, USA.

The sessions started with Keynote presentations from renowned speakers in the field of Nephrology. Following were the keynote addresses-

The conference sessions were highly interactive and fruitful. The first day witnessed expert talks on renal transplantation, dialysis and CKD and diabetes. Among the 2 days of noteworthy speeches were from Dr. Pedro Jose, University of Maryland, USA, Dr. John Maesaka, Winthrop University Hospital, USA, Dr. Joseph Grande, Mayo Clinic, USA who delivered deep insights in various aspects of Nephrology from their vast experience.

It was a privilege of OMICS Group to felicitate the Organizing Committee Members and Keynote Speakers of Nephro-2013. OMICS Group also congratulates the recipients of the Best Poster Award for their outstanding performance in Nephrology and also appreciates all the participants of poster presentation for their zeal and ambition to pursue advances in Nephrology.

The esteemed guests, Keynote speakers, well known researchers, physicians and delegates from the scientific community shared their innovative research and experience through their remarkable presentations at the podium of Nephro-2013. We are glad to inform that all the accepted abstracts for the conference will be indexed in OMICS Group’s Journal of Nephrology & Therapeutics as a special issue.

We are obliged to the various delegates from companies and institutes who actively took part in the discussions.
