Pharmacognosy-2014 Report
The 2nd International Conference & Exhibition on Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry and Natural Product hosted by the OMICS Group successfully concluded on August 25-27, 2014 at DoubleTree by Hilton Beijing, China. Generous response and active participation were received from the editorial board members of OMICS Group Journals, members of Phytochemical Society of Asia, as well as from scientists, researchers and leaders from the field of Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry and Natural Products; and students who made this conference as one of the most successful and productive events in 2014. The conference witnessed the most comprehensive and knowledge imparting discussions themed around “Altering Paradigm in Medicinal Plants Research and Natural Product Development”. The three days of the conference held one symposium and four scientific sessions on following critically important topics concurring with the theme of conference:

2nd International Conference & Exhibition on Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry and Natural Product received overwhelming response from more than 100 delegates, speakers and students participants representing 25 countries from all across the globe. The conference also received extended support from its collaborator “Phytochemical Society of Asia”.
The conference started by the opening note of Dr Camilia George Michel from Cairo University, Egypt and the sessions were moderated by Dr Ehab A Abourashed form Chicago State University, USA. Keynote forum started by the keynote lecture of Dr. Yoshinori Asakawa form Tokushima Bunri University, Japan followed by lectures of Dr Zhao Zhongzhen from Hong Kong Baptist University, China, Dr. Kelvin Chan from The University of Sydney & Western Sydney, Australia, and Dr Jan Frederik Stevens, Oregon State University, USA.
All accepted abstracts have been indexed in OMICS Group Journal of Natural Products Chemistry and Research as a special issue.
We are also obliged to various outside experts, company representatives and other eminent personalities who supported the conference by facilitating the discussion forums.
