On October 27-29, 2014, OMICS at HICC Hyderabad, India organized its 3^rd International Conference and Exhibition on Pharmacovigilance & Clinical Trials. This conference was OMICS endeavor to strengthen the future of the Pharmacovigilance & Clinical Trials with scientist’s pharmacists, researchers, health care professionals, university professors, industrialists, pharmaceutical associations, editorial board members of OMICS journals, and students.

The Keynote speakers for the conference were: K C Singhal, NIMS, India; Prakash V Diwan, Anurag Group of Institutions, India; John Barber, Dr.Reddy’s  Laboratories Europe, UK; J Vijay Venkatraman, OviyaMedSafe, India; Mrinal Kamali, Lambda Therapeutics, India and Suresh Rayudu Chitturi, Confederation of Indian Industry, India.

The Keynote sessions, invited lectures by honorable guests, and all the other sessions highlighted the current challenges, issues, opportunities, innovations and ideas, in Pharmacovigilance & Clinical Trials research, that was reflected by the theme of the conference “Safer Drugs to Market by Analysing Latest Developments in Pharmacovigilance, Drug Safety and Risk Management."  The theme touched upon various topics like Pharmacovigilance and its Challenges, Role of Clinical Trials, Clinical Trials on Diseases, Adverse Drug Reactions, Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics, Pharmacy Practices and its Challenges, Risk Management: New Approaching Paradigm for Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Research and Statistics, Strategies for Growth in Pharma Environment, Good Pharmacovigilance Practice and Pharmacoepidemiology, and Case Report in Clinical Trials. This gave a rewarding learning environment to all the attendees.

OMICS “Pharmacovigilance” is known for uplifting the future of pharmacy by encouraging students and fellow researchers to present their work through poster presentations. Students participated with great zeal and the best posters were awarded for their efforts and outstanding contribution to the pharmacy research.
