Proteomics-2013 Report

On July 15-17, 2013, OMICS Group Conferences at Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia Downtown, USA organized its "3rd International Conference on Proteomics & Bioinformatics". This conference was OMICS endeavor to strengthen the future of the Proteomics science together with research scholars, health care professionals, university professors, industrialists, proteomic associations, editorial board members of OMICS journals, and students globally from leading universities.

The Honourable guests & Keynote speakers for the conference were:

Jorg D. Hoheisel, Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (DKFZ), Germany
Edward A. Dennis, University of California at San Diego, USA,
Matthew Kuruc, ProFACT Proteomics Inc., USA,
Ray Fyhr, Merck Research Lab, USA,
Sandra L. Rodriguez-Zas, University of Illinois, USA

On Day-1 The Opening ceremony, speech by honourable guests & keynote forum followed by invited lectures by honorable moderator chair & Co-chair of each session. All the other sessions highlighted the current challenges, issues, opportunities, innovations and ideas in proteomics & bioinformatics research, that was reflected by the theme of the conference “Current Trends and Advances in Proteomics & Bioinformatics"  The theme touched upon various topics like

  • Proteomics: An Overview
  • Current Issues on Proteomics and Bioinformatics
  • Molecular and Cellular Proteomics
  • Applications of Proteomics
  • Disease Proteomics
  • Genomics
  • Evolutionary Phylogenetic Networks
  • Bioinformatics in Biopharmaceuticals and Therapeutics
  • Biomedical Informatics
  • Computational Biology
  • Application of Bioinformatics

This gave a rewarding learning environment to all the attendees.

OMICS “Proteomics- 2013” is known for uplifting the future of Proteomics and Bioinformatics by encouraging students and fellow researchers to present their work through poster presentations. Students participated with great zeal and the best posters were awarded for their efforts and outstanding contribution to the Proteomics and Bioinformatics research.

On Day-2 from all the Poster Presentations, the best poster presentation was awarded.

On Day-3 of conference we had workshop for all attendees by Steven Pelech, President & C.S.O. from Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation, Canada.

Workshop Title: Using the Open-Access Online SigNET Knowledge Bank for Meta-analysis of Human Protein Expression, Phosphorylation, Kinase-Protein and Kinase-Drug Interactions.

OMICS group wishes to acknowledge all the organizing committee members, chair and co-chair, editorial board members of OMICS group journals, speakers, students, sponsors, exhibitors and media partners in making this event a great success.

Thank you everyone for the enormous exquisite response. This inspires us to continue organizing events and conferences for furthering the Proteomics and Bioinformatics research. OMICS therefore, is glad to announce its "4th International Conference on Proteomics and Bioinformatics” which will be held during August 04-06, 2014 Chicago, USA.
