Cancun, in the state of Quintana Roo, was previously a long strip of forest flanked by beaches. "Ciudad Cancun" (Cancun City), a somewhat typical Mexican town on the mainland where most Cancun residents make their home, which contrasts strikingly with the impressive hotel zone, "Isla Cancun" (Cancun Island), known more commonly as the Hotel Zone. There is also an ecological reserve with mangroves and lagoons. Cancun is one of the most visited places in the world and has become famous for its natural beauty, archaeological sites, and picture-perfect beaches bathed by the crystal-clear turquoise blue water of the Caribbean. Besides, Cancun is one of Mexico's safest tourism destinations and its position on the world market. A modern and multifunctional Congress and Convention Center provided with cutting-edge technology.
