Doha is the capital of Qatar. It is located on the coast of Persian Gulf. It is the biggest city of Qatar having population of 7, 96,947 (2010). The World Petroleum Council Organized the 20th World Petroleum Conference in Doha in December 2011. Doha was incorporated in Fortune's 15 best new cities for commerce for the year 2011. Doha is famous for its administration, finance, culture, transportation, and social services.
Doha's financial system is built on the profits the country has made from its oil and natural gas industries. Doha is at present experiencing a very large explosion with the city budding very rapidly in its economy. Doha is also famous for its gas and oil companies including Qatar Petroleum, Qatar gas and Ras Gas. Its economy is totally dependent on its oil and natural gas industries. Famous Landmarks found here are:
Al Kout fortress, Government House, Khalifa International Stadium and The Mall.
Arts and Culture: Qatar National Museum, Al Khor Museum, Museum of Islamic Arts, Khalifa Tennis and Squash Complex, Mathaf Arab Museum of Modern Art, Islamic Culture Center, Doha Fort and Msheireb Enrichment Centre.
Parks and Recreation: Souq Waqif, Corniche, Rumeila Park, Aspire Park, Aqua Park Qatar, Doha Zoo and Al Thakhira Beach.
