Cattle Medicine

OMICS International has 306 Open Access Articles, 717 Conference Proceedings, 4 Journals, 162 National symposiums, 4 Upcoming Conferences on Cattle medicine.

Cattle medicine is the branch of science that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease, disorder and injury in animals.

However, when needed, medicines must be used responsibly. Veterinary science helps human health through the monitoring and control of zoonotic disease (infectious disease transmitted from non-human animals to humans) and veterinary scientists often collaborate with epidemiologists. A cow magnet is a veterinary medical device for the treatment or prevention of hardware disease in cattle. Traditionally, cow magnets were strong alnico magnets about 1cm by 8cm (0.4 by 3.1 inches) in the shape of a smoothed rod, but today they are more commonly several ring-shaped ferrite magnets attached to a stainless-steel or plastic core, in the same shape as the single-piece original. A rancher or dairy farmer feeds a magnet to each calf at branding time; the magnet settles in the rumen or reticulum and remains there for the life of the animal.

OMICS International  organizes 1000+ Global events every year across the Globe. OMICS International Veterinary Conferences a hub which covers the innards of diagnosing, treating and curing the diverse types of diseases in birds and animals sciences which serves as a major platform for the transfer of scientific knowledge through which are arranged parallel to the scientific-sessions.

Scope and Importance:
The scope of veterinary medicine is wide; covering all animal species, both domesticated and wild, with a wide range of conditions which can affect different species. Veterinary medicine is widely practiced, both with and without professional supervision. Professional care is most often led by a veterinary physician (also known as a vet, veterinary surgeon or veterinarian), but also by paraveterinary workers such as veterinary nurses or technicians. This can be augmented by other paraprofessionals with specific specialisms such as animal physiotherapy or dentistry, and species relevant roles such as farriers. The use of livestock medicines on the dairy farm by producers and veterinarians is important for disease prevention and control. Management practices which prevent disease will reduce the need for drug treatment. Planned animal health and production programs commit the milk producer, the veterinarian and other herd advisors to the implementation of herd management policies which optimize health and production.

Statistical Analysis:
The global veterinary health market is valued at $24.80 billion in 2014. Expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.86% to 2019, the demand for animal healthcare products and services globally is set to reach $34.39 billion by 2019. The Veterinary Services industry is currently in the growth phase of its life cycle. Industry value added (IVA), which measures an industry's contribution to the overall economy, is expected to grow at an annualized rate of 2.2% during the ten years to 2020.Overall, the industry has benefited from growing pet ownership, mounting awareness of animal health issues and the availability of advanced surgical and diagnostic procedures.
