Visa Information
Visa Information:
Visas should be applied as early as possible and well in advance of the conference. According to the National Academy of Sciences International Visitors Office, "due to increased security measures, many applicants must now appear for a personal interview at the U.S. consulate. Applicants should take this into consideration and start the process as early as possible since some consulates may have long waiting times for interviews (several weeks to a month). Scientists and students will most likely experience delays due to a security review process known as Visa Mantis". So kindly apply for the visa within reasonable time (minimum three months ahead of the planned travel).
The organisers will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invites should apply for Business Visa only. To apply for a visa, visit http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_1750.html
Note*: Registration refunds will not be issued after October 22, 2012 for any reason, including the inability to obtain a visa.
