Scope and Importance:
The most common hypothesis for the cause of motion sickness is that it functions as a psychological defense mechanism against neurotoxins. The area postrema in the brain is responsible for inducing vomiting when poisons are detected, and for resolving conflicts between vision and balance. When feeling motion but not seeing it (for example, in a ship with no windows), the inner ear transmits to the brain that it senses motion, but the eyes tell the brain that everything is still. As a result of the discordance, the brain will come to the conclusion that the individual is hallucinating and further conclude that the hallucination is due to poison ingestion. The brain responds by inducing vomiting, to clear the supposed toxin.
Motion sickness is a cause when the mixed signals are being sent to the brain by the eyes and the inner ear. If we cannot see the motion our body's feeling, or, if we cannot feel the motion our eyes see, then it is likely seen that the brain will get some mixed signals and the person will develop the symptoms of motion sickness. The signs and symptoms of motion sickness begin with a feeling of uneasiness followed by cold sweat and dizziness being caused. Some people may get pale skin and saliva production gets increase along with the headache and fatigue. Nausea and vomiting occur after these initial symptoms. A doctor is not called for motion sickness unless the person starts developing dehydration from persistent and intractable vomiting. In most cases, once the motion has stopped, the symptoms slowly decrease and then disappear. Motion sickness is diagnosed by seeing the patient's history and physical examination. The individual description of symptoms and the context in which they are occurring is sufficient to make the diagnosis. Treatment for motion sickness consists of medical treatments, simple changes in the environment (for example, sitting by the open window of a car), home remedies may be effective.

Market Analysis:
By most accounts, major U.S. markets have performed positively this year, generating significant wealth for many investors. The S&P 500 Index has made fresh highs pretty regularly and is currently up 12 percent, and so far the Nasdaq Composite Index has returned 14 percent. The upside to falling oil prices is consumers are heading in to the holiday shopping season with extra money in their pockets. At a handful of stations in Oklahoma and Texas, gas prices fell below $2 today. Consumer airlines are also benefitting from the “tax break” of low fuel prices. Year-to-date, the NYSE Arca Airline Index has delivered a stellar 43 percent and the benefit is not limited to the U.S. China Airlines is up 31.5 percent.
