As per available reports about 40 relevant journals, 12 Conferences, 706 Workshops are presently dedicated exclusively to Plant Transcriptomics and about 2554 articles are being published on Plant Transcriptomics.
Plant Transcriptomics is nothing but the transcriptome analysis of diferent plants. Most widely studied are the agricultural plants and crops which are used to serve the nation. These are of great commercial importance. So, reserachers are trying to produce a high yielding crop within a low price range which makes it accessible for those who are dying with starvation.
OMICS International Organizes 1000+ Global Events Every Year across USA, Europe & Asia with support from 1000 more scientific societies and Publishes 700+ Open access journals which contains over 100000 eminent personalities, reputed scientists as editorial board and organizing committee members. The conference series website will provide you list and details about the conference organize worldwide.
Scope and Importance:
The interaction between a plant’s transcriptome & genome and its environment determines agricultural performance and nutritional value. The Laboratory is a key player in international genome sequencing projects of important agricultural plants such as tomato, potato, wheat (chromosome 5A) and coffee. Both traditional and next generation sequencing is used for the characterization of the transcriptome of saffron, olive tree, and tomato. In collaboration with other groups, commercially available Affymetrix array is used for the transcriptional profiling of the response to drought in wheat. Transcriptomic and metabolomic data are being analysed through systems biology approaches in order to reveal transcriptional-metabolic networks underlying agronomic characteristics.
Market Analysis:
According to the new market research report "RNA Analysis/Transcriptomics Market by Technology (Microarray, PCR, NGS, RNAi), by Application (Clinical Diagnostics, Drug Discovery, Toxicogenomics), by End-User (Academic Research, Pharmaceutical and Biotech Companies) - Global Forecast to 2019", the global Transcriptomics Market is estimated to be worth $1985.5 Million by the end of 2014 and is expected to reach $3,773.0 Million by 2019, at a CAGR of 13.7% from 2014 to 2019.
There is increasing demand for personalized medicines and continuous improvements in healthcare infrastructures which drives the growth of drug discovery and research. This has given a thrust to the demand for transcriptomic technologies which are widely used for the drug discovery and life science research. Moreover, the increasing number of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in Asia-Pacific region has opened new growth avenues for transcriptomics in the emerging markets. However, the higher initial investment cost hampers the growth of this market due to the reluctance of researchers to adopt the new technologies. Moreover, the dearth of skilled professionals and efficient bioinformatics tools for data analysis can inhibit the growth of Transcriptomics Market to a certain extent.
