Neurology will focus on recent advances in neurodegenerative diseases, ranging from basic science to clinical and pharmaceutical developments, and will highlight current understanding of underlying mechanisms, new research directions, and novel therapeutic strategies. The drug discovery effort for neurodegenerative diseases has been one of the major challenges of the pharmaceutical industry. This conference series will connect scientists and researchers to share perspectives on the latest topics of interest, such as targeted treatments for psychiatric disorders, Neuroinflammation, and cell- and gene-therapy based therapies, particularly focusing on interactions and common mechanisms among neurodegenerative diseases.
OMICS International through its Open access initiatives is committed to make genuine and reliable contributions to the scientific community by publishing research work and conference paper related to such disorders. It is known that OMICS Group hosts over 700 edge peer reviewed Open Access Journals and organizes over more than 1000 Global Events annually. Its publishing group journals have over 5 million readers and the fame and success of the same can be attributed to the strong editorial board which contains over 75000+ eminent personalities that ensure a quality and quick review process checker.
There are many recognized neurological disorders, some relatively common, but many rare. It was found that 6.75% of the American adult population is afflicted with Neurological disorders. This number was eclipsed by the 8.02% of Floridians with Neurological disorders, which is due to the large aged population residing in the state. Neurological disorders are an important cause of mortality and constitute 12% of total deaths globally.Neurological disorders are diseases of the brain, spine and the nerves that connect them. Structural, biochemical or electrical abnormalities in the brain, spinal cord or other nerves can result in a range of symptoms which includes paralysis, muscle weakness, poor coordination, and loss of sensation, seizures, confusion, pain and altered levels of consciousness. Within these, cerebrovascular diseases are responsible for 85% of the deaths due to neurological disorders. Neurological disorders constitute 16.8% of the total deaths in lower middle income countries compared with 13.2% of the total deaths in high income countries Among the neurological disorders, Alzheimer and other dementias are estimated to constitute 2.84% of the total deaths in high income countries in 2005. Cerebrovascular disease constitute 15.8%, 9.6%, 9.5% and 6.4% of the total deaths in lower middle, upper middle, high and low income countries

Up to 1 billion people, nearly one in six of the world’s population, suffer from neurological disorders, from Alzheimer and Parkinson disease, strokes, multiple sclerosis and epilepsy to migraine, brain injuries and neuro-infections, with some 6.8 each year. People in all countries, irrespective of age, sex, education or income are affected, that the economic cost of such diseases in Europe reached some €169 billion in 2013, and that access to appropriate care is lacking in many parts of the world. Health systems need to be strengthened to deliver better care for people with neurological disorders,” she added, recommending that neurological care be integrated into primary health care since for many people, primary care is the only access to medical treatment that they have and doctors can use low-technology interventions. Community-based rehabilitation is also an option. Global statistics show that 50 million people suffer from epilepsy, 62 million from cerebrovascular disease, 326 million from migraine, and 24 million from Alzheimer disease and other dementias.
Neurology is the branch of medicine that is concerned with the study and treatment of disorders of the nervous system. It comes under medical science addressing disorders of the nervous system. To be specific, neurology deals with the diagnosing and treatment of all classes of conditions and wellness involving the central and peripheral nervous system; or, the equivalent that means, the involuntary nervous systems and also the bodily nervous systems, together with their coverings, blood vessels, and every one effector tissue, like muscle.
Neurologists treat disorders of the brain, spinal cord and nerves. A medical specialist could be a doctor specializing in neurology and trained to research, or diagnose and treat medicine disorders. Neurologists can also be concerned in clinical analysis, and clinical trials, similarly as basic analysis and translational analysis. Whereas neurology could be a non-surgical specialty, its corresponding surgical specialty is surgical procedure. Neurology, being a branch of drugs, differs from neurobiology that is that the scientific study of the system all told of its aspects. A doctor who specializes in neurology is called a neurologist.
The neurologist treats disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, and nerves, such as:
Stroke
Demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system, such as multiple sclerosis
Headache disorders
Infections of the brain and peripheral nervous system
Movement disorders, such as Parkinson's disease
Neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease
Seizure disorders, such as epilepsy
Spinal cord disorders
Speech and language disorders
Neurologists do not perform surgery. If one of their patients requires surgery, they refer themto a neurosurgeon.
Some of these neurological disorders are the following.
Headache
Muscle disorders and pain
Multiple sclerosis
Muscular dystrophy
Myasthenia gravis
Parkinson's disease
Stroke
Alzheimer's disease
Brain and spinal cord tumors
Epilepsy
OMICS Group International is a combination of Open Access publications and worldwide international science conferences and events. It was established in the year 2007 with the aim of making the information on Sciences and technology ‘Open Access’. OMICS Group also organizes 300 International conferences annually across the globe, where knowledge transfer takes place through debates, round table discussions, poster presentations, workshops, symposia and exhibitions. OMICS International organizes Science Congress, World Summits, and International science conferences in India, USA, Dubai, Australia and Europe. OMICS Group Journals encourages original and well researched articles for publication. With the help of a strong 30, 000 experts as editorial board members and reviewers, OMICS Group journals uphold the standard review process. All the articles submitted for publication are subjected to a blind peer review. Upon incorporating the changes the articles are published online. Once approved for publication, these articles remain archived permanently in their respective repositories. OMICS Group Journals follow online tracking system where the authors can submit their articles online and track its status from time to time.
To create more awareness in the field of Epilepsy OMICS Group is conducting a conference during September21-22, 2015 at Baltimore, USA. The theme of the conference is based on “New Insights of Advanced Research and Treatment strategies in Epilepsy”. Epilepsy-2015 event will provide two days of robust discussions for the treatment of various types of Epilepsy and its effects in pregnant women, Infantile Seizures, Genetic causes, mutations and other novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies of Epilepsy. It will also explore new ideas and concepts on a global scale.
